Hi all,
welcome to my journey of Melbourne. Today is my fourth day already. I wanted to start blogging few days ago but had difficulties trying to get connection and also there is only two computer available here, so its abit difficult to find time to blog. Anyways, today we went Victoria Market to shop for groceries for the whole week. Nice place, think thats the only place where you can find cheaper vegetables. But the vegetables in Melbourne are really veri veri expensive!! Oh man...need to save alot by walking to various stalls to compare prices.
Today is Sunday. In Melbourne, we can get a card name "Super saver metcard" which cost Aus$2.50. With this card, you can use the train, tram and bus the whole day unlimited!! Cool eh? Actually its quite cheap...but its only available on Sunday. But you know what? I lost the card while shopping somewhere in a ulu place. So I have to get another one which cost Aus$3.20. Slighty more expensive than the supersave...hai yo...careless me! Anyway, we ate fish and chips for dinner. About Aus$5.40, one big piece of fish, a potato patty, fries and a dim sim. The sauce also need to pay lor. One packet of tar tar cost Aus$0.70 and tomato cost $0.60. My friend paid for it and we shared. The sauce suck lor. Even the ones in Mac (sg) taste nicer! Argh...worst is there is no chilli sauce here de! Sianz~
After that we went Coles, a very big shopping center to shop for groceries. The grapes are quite cheap, Aus$1.98 for 1kg of seedless green grapes. We went priceline pharmacy and saw nice belgian choc. Very good to buy back for friends! Eh buddies, things here are really expensive, so it kinda difficult to get very good present for all of ya. Tell you guys something, we haven't start school lei. Not last friday, not tomo but its tues! Hehe...tml no school again! Because the school organised a BBQ in the afternoon (weird rite? BBQ in the afternoon in sg sure get stroke de!). It cost Aus$2.00, quite cheap lar. But the best is to be able to socialize with the students there.
For the past few days...hmm, let me see. First day, 1st March when we reached Airport...the Professor from RMIT came to fetch us to our apartment. Before I continue talking about the first day. Let me tell you all what happened just now. My fren, zhi li was stucked in the toliet for 30 mins! oh man. poor girl...the lock was really strong. The manager came and took roughly 10-15 mins before he manage to hammer the lock out. Whew. It must be really scary for her! Kinda of tired now. Its already 11.34pm here.
*YAWN* So far, we have been quite a lot of places. I took many photos. Shall try to share folders wif u guys as soon as possiblie! Remember to leave me tags~~~ =)
