Hi everyone!!!
I am finally back from Philip Island (sounds like I stayed there for ages eh?)...haha...
It so absolutely a great experience...got handsome guys some more...wakakaka...
Anyways, we went to school at 11.30am on friday and head for werribee water treatment plant. To say the truth, it was really kind of boring...(oops, sorry...=X). We actually tagged along with my Industrial Chemistry friends and the students at RMIT to take a look more of Australia. So we applied one day leave from my supervisor and went to Werribee. =P
Hmm, the journey was quite long...so I fall asleep (yawns). Den during the tour at the water treatment plant, we went down at two location. One is super smelly (HIGH TIDE sewage) while the other is super cold and windy. I wore one long sleeves jacket only lei...sobz...Most of the time we are on the bus listening to a tour guide from the water treatment plant talking more about the machines and mechanism to the students to take note. It was seriously none of my business because I don't specialise in that, neither do I have interest in that field. So...I fall asleep...oops...I know I was very rude to do that...but...I really couldn't catch what she was talking (so fast and weird accent). Nevermind about that...back to RMIT...
It was around 4.30pm le...we went back to the apartment (the other 5 students house) to get ready for philip island...pack pack pack...watch tv watch tv...Professor Philip and his research group came to fetch us at 5.30pm downstairs.
We sat at another 8 seater car...with three guys Tim(used to be vietnamese, now australian), Omar (mexican) & Nok (Thai). The other car was Professor Philip and Marco (French, I like him!!). Haha...
In the car we talked among ourselves and didn't really interact with the research group people. The journey was a long one...roughly around 2hours...we sang alot of Children Songs...entertaining each other...haha~
It was 8plus when we finally reach Philip Island. So hungry lei...Fish and Chips was the dish for dinner...SO SMALL Lei the fish...like two fingers size? But nvm...ate chocs on car already...so its just enough. First night was nth much because by the time we reach there and settled down, it was very late already. We just played some card games and went to sleep.
Guess wat? We woke up 4am plus on Saturday!!! 2am plus in Singapore only lei!! Just to see sunrise...because one hour is spent on bathing (6 person sharing one bathroom, pathetic eh?). By the time everyone is ready, it was already 5.30am. We set off and went to the beach. Around 100m away from the house we are staying. Disappointment is what we got when we reached there. Seems like it was getting brighter, but we couldn't see the SUN at all!! Looks like I am always not fated to look at Sunrise eh? Its either I miss or I am at the wrong direction everytime. After taking some photos, we head back to the house for our breakfast. And we found out that we are locked outside!!! We don't have the keys to the house!!! haha...oops..
We tired knocking the door but was no avail. Seems like everyone is in their dreamland. Den we stroll around the house and so coincidence that Professor Philip woke up and is going for a jog(awaken by our knocking of door). Phew...wen in and ate breakfast before proceeding to a place...erm...I can't recall whats the name liao...but we walked long long long way...and Nobbies (a place where we can see ocean & nobbies). Very nice...veri beautiful...hehe...see pictures ba...pictures can describe thousand words. But alot of walking was involved...very tired...but I guess its a good exercise for us eh? =P
After that we went for Lunch and Shopping @ the town of Philip island...the shops all so short...jus a few streets of shops...nothing much really. We ate one piece of pizza for lunch because all of us were still not very hungry (munched on choc bars on the car, haha).
After that we went Penguin Parade to check out the prices and timing for tonight. Its a place where you can see many many penguins. The place connected to a ocean and the penguins will gather at night on shore and we can see them Parade! haha...It was around 4plus and its time to shop for food!!! BBQ at house tonight!!! WOOHOOO~~~....salads, sausages (a must), bread, chicken wings, eggs...limited stuffs...but should b enough. Haha...
Back to the house, we all help up to prepare the food (salads and chicken wings) before we left for the Penguin Parade which starts around 6.30pm. Penguin parade was a disappointment at first but we were very far away and couldn't really see the tiny penguins. But while walking back, the penguins were everywhere!!! So near us...but there was a barrier lar. Kawaii...=)
Anyways, after the parade we went home and start BBQ party!! yum yum~
We drank wine and beer...taste different from Singapore lei, but it was nice.
Den we started playing card game (MURDERER). Wakaka...everyone played...except a few who slept early. Very fun game...lots of laughter...lots of punishments. I lost quite a few time and had to dance, eat olives from someone's elbow and share a shred of carrot with someone!! Almost kissed lei! Luckily it was a girl...haha~ =P Time flies...so many rounds of game...it was almost 2am when we decided to end the game and go to sleep.
Thought of going to watch Sunrise and Kangaroo in the morning but couldn't wake up. Sobz. It was 8am when I woke up on Sunday. Went to bath...worst thing is that there was no hot water!!!!! OMG...can you imagine? I don't even bath in cold water in Singapore...not to say in such a cold island. I was SHIVERING while bathing. I had no choice. Blast the water so that the soap is washed away faster. SOB SOBZ....shivering like hell lar...
It was time to say goodbye to the house @ philip island...
Before going back to Melbourne, we stop by at Churchill Island and walked around the place from 1 hours plus. Nice place, nice scenery. =) Finally got to talk to the French guy (marco). Wakaka...=P
Reached apartment around 4plus...whew...suddenly feel so quiet...from 16 people to 5 people...feeling kinda of weird...the four of us (girls) gathered at my room and viewed at the photos we took during the trip...
